Short description

The Miara is your ideal companion for weekend outings, travel and adventures. A little different from what you're used to from The Chesterfield Brand, this weekend bag features a combination of canvas fabric and leather, which also makes it lighter than an all-leather travel bag. Ideal if you want to travel stylishly and functionally.

The Miara comes with a detachable and adjustable leather shoulder strap, allowing you to carry it comfortably over your shoulder. Moreover, there are two short leather handles that allow you to carry the bag effortlessly by hand. The Miara's spacious main compartment has a handy zip closure. Thanks to the flexible material, the bag falls open, giving you easy access to all your belongings. Inside the main compartment you will find several smaller storage compartments, perfect for organising your essentials. On the front of the bag you will find a smaller zipped storage compartment, ideal for safely storing small items. A handy trolley strap is placed at the back of the bag, so you can easily put the bag on your suitcase when travelling.

This weekend bag is available in two different colours: olive green and black.

This product falls within the Canvas Waxed collection. A collection in which we combine our popular Cow Wax Pull Up leather with washed Canvas for an innovative, trendy yet tough effect. Waxed canvas is a sturdy fabric known for its durability and strength. It is highly resistant to wear and tear, making it very suitable for long-term use. In short, washed canvas is very suitable for our products due to its hard-wearing properties. The leather parts are made of high-quality Wax Pull Up leather. Wax Pull Up leather is characterised by a soft and supple structure. Any signs of use are easily rubbed away by the special wax treatment the bag has undergone. This will keep your leather toiletry bag/bag/backpack/shoulder bag like new for years.

This bag is easy to maintain with our Leather Wax Spray: this is a cleaning and care product in one! Also store the bag safely and dust-free in our dustbag.

The Chesterfield Brand was founded 10 years ago and is a family business on steroids (take a look at their awesome team page giving you a peak of the people behind the brand!).
The team is passionate about leather and the brand started as a way to increase social responsibility in the Indian leather industry.

Fair trade: Chesterfield works intensively with the Indian factories where the items are made. They have long-term partnerships (more than 10 years!) and visit the factories several times per year themselves. In addition, all factories have a SEDEX or SA8000 certificate.

Eco-friendly: Some of the leather that The Chesterfield Brand uses is still tanned in the old-fashioned way; using chrome. The brand chooses partnerships over perfection and hence, not everyone is up to par in terms of sustainability yet.

With around 80% of the collection being part of their ongoing standard collection, the brand doesn't feed into the fast fashion habit of needlessly buying new things. The items are made to last and Chesterfield provides you with all the tools to take care of it in the best way possible (or to restore it if you've forgotten to do so). 

Also nice? The headquarter runs entirely on solar energy and their entire fleet consists of hybrid cars!

Good cause: The brand supports various projects in India through The Chesterfield Brand Foundation; the idea is to share the brand's success with the local population even more. The foundation works together with a local NGO to finance projects focused on education and prevention of human trafficking.
